The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show three additional deaths in the totals. One of the deaths was reportedly a Burlington resident, giving the city 188 total deaths. Another death was an Oakville resident, giving the town 142 total deaths. The third death was listed as a Milton resident, giving our town 83 deaths total. Halton Hills remains at 74 total deaths. Halton is now at 487 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 153 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 57,883. There have been 1,736 total hospitalizations in Halton and 487 deaths.
In Milton, we had 37 new cases. That brings us to 14,946 total cases. There have been 400 total hospitalizations in Milton and 83 deaths.

Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,536,458 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,370,485 of the doses were to Halton residents.
