The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says 26-year-old Sofia Ukani has been located safely.
The public was thanked for helping in the search, and all photos of Ukani have been removed from our pages.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is asking for help in finding a missing woman.
26-year-old Sofia Ukani of North York was last seen on Monday, January 9th at roughly 12:30 p.m. in the area of Dundas Street West and Third Line in Oakville.
Ukani is described as:
- Female
- Approximately 5’9” tall with a heavy build
- Black shoulder length, straight hair
- Brown eyes
Ukani wears glasses and was last seen wearing a burgundy long sleeve shirt, black pants and a black jacket. She may also be carrying a red backpack. Ukani may have been heading to North York.
She is considered vulnerable and police and family are concerned for her safety. Anyone with information about Ukani or her possible whereabouts is asked to contact police through 9-1-1 or via the non-emergency line at 905-825-4777.
