Environment Canada is warning of freezing in Milton and the surrounding area.
Road crews are out in preparation of frozen roads, laying down salt for drivers. The freezing drizzle is expected to be patchy across the area. In the warning, Environment Canada stresses the following impacts:
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Freezing drizzle can produce thin, hard-to-detect layers of ice. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
Looking at the forecast, we could see off and on freezing rain for the next few days.
Drive safe, be smart!
