
The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show five additional deaths in the totals. Three of the deaths were Burlington residents, giving the city 169 deaths total. The other two deaths were attributed to Milton, giving our town 75 deaths total. Oakville remains at 125 deaths total. Halton Hills remains at 72 deaths total. Halton is now at 441 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 174 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 56,045. There have been 1,583 total hospitalizations in Halton and 441 deaths.
In Milton, we had 21 new cases. That brings us to 14,600 total cases. There have been 357 total hospitalizations in Milton and 75 deaths.
There are currently two outbreaks reported in Milton:
- Allendale Long Term Care Home – Halton House, & Nelson House
- Congregate Living 165
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,490,904 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,329,962 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 4,842 total doses have been administered to people aged <5;
- 73,734 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 109,790 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 112,628 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 72,522 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 85,692 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 100,788 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 108,790 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 115,080 total doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 118,322 total doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 115,847 total doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 108,383 total doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 96,835 total doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 90,927 total doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 73,097 total doses have been administered to people aged 75-79; and,
- 103,627 total doses have been administered to people aged 80+.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 451,630 total doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 36,274 total doses have been administered through other clinic settings;
- 1,003,000 total doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
