An Innisfil resident saved themselves from becoming the victim of a possible car-jacking with a bit of quick thinking.
On Friday (nov11) during the noon hour, while sitting in their vehicle in the area of Yonge Street and Victoria a stranger jumped in the passenger side of their car.
The suspect demanded the victim start driving and assaulted the vehicle owner.
The victim quickly jumped out of the car and locked the suspect in and called South Simcoe Police.
While waiting for officials, the suspect damaged the vehicles interior.
A 52 year old Innisfil resident is facing charges of robbery, assault with a weapon and mischief under $5000.
