
The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show five additional deaths in the totals. Three of the deaths were Burlington residents, giving the city 162 deaths total. One of the deaths was an Oakville resident, putting the town at 123 deaths total. The fifth death was a Halton Hills resident, putting the town at 71 deaths total. Milton remains at 72 deaths. Halton is now at 428 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 267 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 55,390. There have been 1,533 total hospitalizations in Halton and 428 deaths.
In Milton, we had 49 new cases. That brings us to 14,472 total cases. There have been 350 total hospitalizations in Milton and 72 deaths.
There are currently three outbreaks reported in Milton:
- Congregate Living – 164
- Allendale Long Term Care Home – Adams House
- Martindale Gardens Retirement Home – First Floor
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,458,295 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,300,404 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 4,164 total doses have been administered to people aged <5;
- 72,915 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 108,232 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 111,773 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 71,826 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 84,749 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 99,473 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 107,210 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 113,214 total doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 115,567 total doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 112,780 total doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 104,800 total doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 93,372 total doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;

- 433,451 total doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 35,965 total doses have been administered through other clinic settings;
- 988,879 total doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
