The Royal Canadian Legion is hoping a shift toward more environmentally-friendly features will breathe fresh life into the 2022 national poppy campaign.
The organizers are introducing some new initiatives such as environmentally friendly, biodegradable poppies.
The annual push to honour fallen soldiers officially kicked off across the country today (oct28) and runs until Remembrance Day (nov11).
Organizers say they’re hopeful that Canadians will take more time this year to pay tribute to veterans, both past and present.
