The Milton Menace have hit double-digits in the win column.
They played the Brantford 99ers on Sunday, October 9th at the Milton Memorial Arena. The 99ers came into the game off the back of a 3-2 overtime win, giving them their first win on the season. Brantford was likely feeling good heading into the game, and the game was never really close.
The Menace took the lead early in the first with Ryan O’Toole scoring at the 2:35 mark. That was assisted by Tristan Tremble and Marco Iozzo. Aidan Hughes then made it a 2-0 game five minutes later. His goal was assisted by Cole Semeniuk and Cory Liu. Semeniuk then had a goal of his own at the 15-minute mark, assisted by Bradley Banach and Lucas Buzziol. Before the period was over, Justin O’Donell added another goal for Milton, assisted by Connor Driscoll and Luca Rea. It was 4-0 Milton after one period of play.
In the second period, O’Toole scored his second of the game, assisted by Rea and O’Donell. The 99ers would score to make it 5-1 after 40-minutes of action.
The third period saw the 99ers score twice, before a powerplay goal by O’Toole sealed the game. It was assisted by Hughes and Driscoll. Rea then added another goal, with help from O’Donell and Owen Kindree. The Menace won 7-3.
The box score had Christian Trianni in net. He had 22 saves on 25 shots. That’s good for .880% save percentage.
The Milton Menace are now 10-0-0-1 through 11 games. They have 21 points, which puts them solely in first place in the North/West Conference now that the Collingwood Blues have lost a game. They are also in second place in the entire Ontario Junior Hockey League, behind the 13-1-0-0 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Here’s how the Menace skaters are shaping up after 11 games:
