The Halton Region has shifted to COVID-19 updates once a week. The updates come out on Thursday afternoons.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show an additional death in the totals. The death was a Burlington resident, giving the city 156 deaths total. Oakville remains at 119 deaths total. Milton remains at 72 deaths. Halton Hills remains at 68 deaths total. Halton is now at 415 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 249 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 54,689. There have been 1,493 total hospitalizations in Halton and 416 deaths.
In Milton, we had 49 new cases. That brings us to 14,323 total cases. There have been 345 total hospitalizations in Milton and 72 deaths.
There is currently one outbreak reported in Milton:

Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,424,292 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,269,271 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 3,442 total doses have been administered to people aged <5;
- 72,307 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 107,444 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 110,957 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
