An arrest has been made in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.
In July of 2022, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) initiated a drug trafficking investigation after identifying a suspected drug trafficker in Oakville. Through the course of the investigation, officers observed the suspect conduct numerous drug transactions within Halton and across the GTA.
On Tuesday, September 20th, investigators arrested the suspect in Burlington. 35-year-old Ifennacho Egwuenu has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Trafficking – Cocaine
- Drive while Prohibited
A Criminal Code search warrant was executed at a residence in Etobicoke and a vehicle, resulting in the seizure of 6.5 ounces of cocaine, and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Egwuenu was released on an Undertaking.
