The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says that 49-year-old James Cottle has been safely located.
All photos of Cottle have been removed from our website and social media channels, at the request of the police.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing Oakville man.
49-year-old James Cottle of Oakville was last seen in the Kerr Street area of Oakville with his black e-bike on Wednesday, September 21st. Police area concerned for his safety as he suffered a significant head injury 16 years ago.
Cottle is described as:
- Male
- White
- 5’10” tall with a medium build
- Short brown hair
- Brown eyes
- Yin-Yang tattoo on left shoulder
- Last seen wearing black T-shirt, khaki shorts with plaid, black socks and white shoes.
Has been known to frequent the Toronto area.
Anyone with information about James or his possible location is asked to contact police through 9-1-1 or via the non-emergency line at 905 825 4777.
