The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, September 12th and Monday, September 19th, there were at least 35 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A theft from vehicle case on Martin Street on Monday, September 12th;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Monday, September 12th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue East on Monday, September 12th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue East on Monday, September 12th;
- a breaking and entering case on Ferguson Drive on Monday, September 12th;
- an assault case on Bronte Street South on Monday, September 12th;
- a pair of assault cases on Main Street East on Tuesday, September 13th;
- a property crime case on Main Street East on Tuesday, September 13th;
- a quality of life case on Sprucedale Lane on Tuesday, September 13th;
- an assault case on Bronte Street South on Tuesday, September 13th;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Wednesday, September 14th;
- a theft case on Santa Maria Boulevard on Wednesday, September 14th;
- a breaking and entering case on Clark Boulevard on Wednesday, September 14th;
- a theft case on Fowles Court on Wednesday, September 14th;
- an assault case on Childs Drive on Thursday, September 15th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue East on Thursday, September 15th;
- a property crime case on Guelph Line in Brockville on Thursday, September 15th;
- an assault case on Steeles Avenue East on Friday, September 16th;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Friday, September 16th;
- a property crime case on Bronte Street South on Friday, September 16th;
- a property crime case on Main Street East on Friday, September 16th;
- a breaking and entering case on Tremaine Road on Friday, September 16th;
- a breaking and entering case on Bronte Street South on Friday, September 16th;
- a property crime case on Holgate Crescent on Friday, September 16th;
- a theft case on Santa Maria Boulevard on Saturday, September 17th;
- a theft case on Gore Court on Saturday, September 17th;
- a breaking and entering case on Guelph Line in Campbellville on Saturday, September 17th;
- a property crime case in the area of Bronte Street South and Louis St. Laurent Avenue on Sunday, September 18th;
- a quality of life case on Trafalgar Road on Sunday, September 18th;
- a breaking and entering case on Nakerville Crescent on Sunday, September 18th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Dymott Avenue on Sunday, September 18th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Nakerville Crescent on Sunday, September 18th;
- a property crime case on Ontario Street South on Sunday, September 18th; and,
- a breaking and entering case on Cedar Hedge Boulevard.
Of the 35 cases of crime, 13 were theft cases of some kind, seven were property crime cases, seven were breaking and entering cases, six were assault cases, and two were quality of life cases.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
