The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is reporting that a Burlington resident has died after a collision.
On Wednesday September 14th, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision near the intersection of King Road and Cedar Avenue in Burlington.
At roughly 7:29 a.m., a blue Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on King Road when it crossed over the center line and struck a northbound tan Chevrolet Tahoe. An 83-year-old Burlington man, who was driving the Corolla, was assessed by responding EMS and transported to a local hospital. The HRPS confirmed the driver succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead in the hospital. The driver of the Tahoe, a 75-year-old Burlington man, suffered minor injuries.
Due to the nature of the investigation, the Halton Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and took carriage of the investigation. The scene was held for roughly six hours for the at-scene collision investigation and subsequent debris clean up.
