The Milton Menace continue their hot start to the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) season.
The team played the Mississauga Chargers in their home opener at the Milton Memorial Arena on Friday night. The game started off with Dylan McFadden scoring a goal for Milton late in the first period. It would be 1-0 after 20 minutes of play.
The second period was a scoreless affair, meaning the Menace would head into the third period up by one.
That was when the scoring happened. Aidan Puley scored a goal to make it 2-0, it was assisted by Cory Liu and Luca Rea. The Chargers would get one back, before a pair of goals by the Menace. First, it was Tristan Tremble (assisted by Jake Mallory and Ivan Fabjan) and then just over a minute later, McFadden added his second of the game (assisted by Lucas Buzziol and Connor Driscoll). Sauga would make it a two goal game again shortly later, but captain Owen Forrester would add a shorthanded, empty net goal (assisted by Buzziol) to close out the game.
The Menace beat the Chargers 5-2.
Milton is now 2-0-0-0 on the season. They will get a week off before taking the ice on Friday, September 16th. That will be at home at the Milton Memorial Arena. They will take on their North Halton rivals, the Georgetown Raiders. Gametime is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
