The game started off strong for the Menace. Aidan Puley potted the first goal of the season 14 minutes into the first period, with assists from Luca Rea and Ryan O’Toole. The fun kept coming as 12 seconds later, O’Toole scored an unassisted goal. It was 2-0 Milton after 20 minutes.
Aidan Hughes then made it 3-0 in the second when he scored a powerplay goal at the 3:21 mark. It was assisted by Connor Driscoll and captain Owen Forester. The Admirals then got one back before the end of the second to make it 3-1 after two periods of play.

Driscoll then tallied a goal of his own, with assists from Lucas Buzziol and Hughes. Less than a minute later, Caledon clawed back to a two-goal game, but that was it for the score. Again, the Menace won 4-2.
The rest of the league will start to play their first games in the coming days. The Menace get little rest, though. The team will play game number two on the season on Friday night at the Milton Memorial Arena. They’ll take on the Mississauga Chargers in their home opener. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
