A news release from a local skydiving school indicates a woman was to close to the ground when her chute opened.
Skydive Toronto is working with South Simcoe Police in an investigation into a death of a 21 year old woman.
Emergency Services were called Saturday (aug27) afternoon regarding a critically injured woman.
Skydive Toronto has indicated the student jumper released a quickly rotating main parachute at a low altitude without the time required to open the main parachute.
South Simcoe Police say the young woman was airlifted to a Toronto area hospital but later pronounced deceased.
