A Milton man has been arrested and charged following a July collision that killed one and seriously injured another.
On Saturday, July 2nd, at roughly 10:36 p.m., there was a violent collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Derry Road and Ninth Line in Mississauga. As a result of the collision, a 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and a 20-year-old woman was seriously injured.
On Thursday, August 18th, 44-year-old Renzo Gomez of Milton was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Offences:
- Dangerous Operation Cause Death
- Impaired Operation Cause Death
- Dangerous Operation Cause Bodily Harm
- Impaired Operation Cause Bodily Harm
He was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Investigators are appealing for any witnesses in the area who witnessed the collision or may have dash cameras or anyone with any information on the suspect to call investigators with the Major Collision Bureau at (905) 453–2121, ext. 3710.
