The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is part of an investigation that has led to a Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officer being charged.
On July 21st, Niagara Police responded to a suspected road rage incident in St. Catharines. A male suspect exited his vehicle and struck the window of another vehicle, causing damage and prompting the victim to call 9-1-1.
No physical injuries were sustained as a result of the altercation.
The NRPS identified the suspect involved in the incident as an off-duty officer from their Service and requested the assistance of the HRPS to conduct the investigation.
On Wednesday, August 17th, investigators with the HRPS arrested and charged 56-year-old Nathan Parker of St. Catharines with Mischief Under $5000 and Assault.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the St. Catharines Courthouse on October 25th.
