The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show two additional deaths in the totals. Both deaths appear to be Oakville residents, giving the town 112 deaths total. Burlington remains at 146 deaths total. Milton remains at 70 deaths total. Halton Hills remains at 68 deaths total. Halton is now at 396 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 155 new cases since Friday. The total number of cases is up to 52,902. There have been 1,403 total hospitalizations in Halton and 396 deaths.
In Milton, we had 29 new cases since Friday. That brings us to 13,943 total cases. There have been 327 total hospitalizations in Milton and 70 deaths.
There is currently one outbreak reported in Milton:
- Birkdale Place – Retirement Home – Second, Third, Fourth Floor
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,381,705 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,230,306 of the doses were to Halton residents.
