The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, June 20th and Monday, June 27th, there were at least 39 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A theft from vehicle case on Main Street East on Monday, June 20th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue East on Monday, June 20th;
- a theft case on Scott Boulevard on Monday, June 20th;
- a theft case on Regional Road 25 on Monday, June 20th;
- an assault case on Bronte Street South on Tuesday, June 21st;
- a pair of theft of vehicle cases on Main Street East on Tuesday, June 21st;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue on Tuesday, June 21st;
- a property crime case on Fifth Line on Tuesday, June 21st;
- a theft case on Holgate Crescent on Wednesday, June 22nd;
- a theft of vehicle case on MacArthur Drive in Campbellville on Wednesday, June 22nd;
- a theft from vehicle case on Deverell Place on Thursday, June 23rd;
- a theft case on Syndenham Lane on Thursday, June 23rd;
- a theft of vehicle case on Buckeye Court on Thursday, June 23rd;
- a theft case on Maple Avenue on Friday, June 24th;
- a theft from vehicle case on McDowell Crescent on Friday, June 24th;
- a property crime case on Ontario Street North on Friday, June 24th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue on Friday, June 24th;
- a theft from vehicle case at Main Street North and Reid Sideroad in Campbellville on Friday, June 24th;
- a theft case on Maple Avenue on Saturday, June 25th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Maple Avenue on Saturday, June 25th;
- a property crime case on Hudson Court on Saturday, June 25th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Wakefield Road on Saturday, June 25th;
- a pair of theft of vehicle cases on Husband Place on Saturday, June 25th;
- a property crime case on Campbellville Road on Saturday, June 25th;
- a pair of theft from vehicle cases at Main Street North and Reid Sideroad in Campbellville on Sunday, June 26th;
- a theft case on Boland Crescent on Sunday, June 26th;
- a theft case on Kennedy Circle on Sunday, June 26th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Laundon Terrace on Sunday, June 26th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Pringle Avenue on Sunday, June 26th;
- a property crime case Guelph Line in Campbellville on Sunday, June 27th;
- a breaking and entering case on Regional Road 25 on Monday, June 27th;
- four theft of vehicle cases on Main Street East on Monday, June 27th; and,
- a breaking and entering case on Regional Road 25 on Monday, June 27th.
Of the 39 cases of crime, 31 were theft cases of some kind, five were property crime cases, two were breaking and entering cases, and one was an assault case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
