An Acton resident is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle.
At roughly 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 23rd, the Acton resident was struck by a northbound car on Eastern Avenue near York Street in Acton while crossing the street. The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to the Regional Trauma Center at Hamilton General Hospital to receive emergency medical treatment for life threatening injuries.
The motorist, who was also a local adult resident, remained at the scene and co-operated with the police investigation.
