
The Region says it has moved to a twice-a-week update system. This began Tuesday, May 10th. The updates come Tuesday and Friday.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show an additional death in the totals. The death appears to be a Burlington resident, giving the city 136 deaths total. Milton remains at 67 deaths total. Halton Hills remains at 68 deaths total. Oakville remains at 107 deaths total. Halton is now at 378 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 102 new cases since Tuesday’s update. The total number of cases is up to 49,988. There have been 1,281 total hospitalizations in Halton and 378 deaths.
In Milton, we had 22 new cases since Tuesday. That brings us to 13,384 total cases. There have been 299 total hospitalizations in Milton and 67 deaths.

Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,334,226 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,187,402 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:

- 104,380 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 107,100 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 68,944 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;

- 921,800 total doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
