Ladies Play Day golf tournament, 2020
You can golf while raising money for the Milton District Hospital Foundation.
The MDHF is holding its Ladies Play Day golf tournament once again this summer. The all-women fundraiser is a fun way to support healthcare in our community. Development officer for events and communications Jennifer Tasca tells you what to expect this year.
Last year, there were certain COVID-19 protocols that had to be followed. That included no shotgun start, with the women being spaced out through tee-off times. Tasca says this year will see the return of the shotgun start right at 2:30 p.m.. She adds that having the shotgun start will contribute to the overall morale of the event, and allow for natural networking to take place.
Tasca explains why raising money for the MDHF is so important.
At the time of the interview, the tickets were about 80% sold out. The MDHF is still looking for sponsors! There are several sponsorship opportunities available that begin at $125.
The golf tournament is on Monday, August 22nd at Crosswinds Golf and Country Club. It will be a nine-hole game with a light lunch before, and dinner and auction to follow. More information can be found here.
