
The Region says it has moved to a twice-a-week update system. This began Tuesday, May 10th. The updates come Tuesday and Friday.
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show two additional deaths in the totals. One of the deaths appears to be Milton resident, giving our town 67 deaths total. The other death is Burlington resident, putting the Halton city at 135 total deaths. Halton Hills remains at 68 deaths total. Oakville remains at 107 deaths total. Halton is now at 377 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 107 new cases since Friday’s update. The total number of cases is up to 49,886. There have been 1,278 total hospitalizations in Halton and 377 deaths.
In Milton, we had 21 new cases since Friday. That brings us to 13,362 total cases. There have been 299 total hospitalizations in Milton and 67 deaths.
There are two outbreaks in Milton:
- Congregate Living 141
- Seasons Retirement Home – Fourth Floor
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,332,724 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,186,002 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 66,244 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 104,313 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 107,066 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 68,934 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 80,476 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 93,770 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 100,705 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 105,782 total doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 106,532 total doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;

The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 376,895 total doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 34,754 total doses have been administered through other clinic settings;
- 921,075 total doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
