The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show two additional deaths in the totals. One appears to be a Burlington resident, giving the city 128 deaths total. The other is an Oakville resident, pushing the town to 102 total. Halton Hills remains at 67 deaths total. Milton remains at 65 deaths total. Halton is now at 362 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 78 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 48,721. There have been 1,246 total hospitalizations in Halton and 362 deaths.
In Milton, we had 19 new cases. That brings us to 13,101 total cases. There have been 295 total hospitalizations in Milton and 65 deaths.
There are two outbreaks in Milton:
- Congregate living facility known as ‘Congregate Living – 139’
- Martindale Gardens Retirement Home – Fourth Floor
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,317,091 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,171,702 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 65,530 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
- 103,783 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
- 106,767 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
- 68,751 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 80,263 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 93,512 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 100,473 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 105,547 total doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 106,277 total doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 101,475 total doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 90,605 total doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 78,374 total doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 73,651 total doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;

- 173 total additional doses are pending.
