A drug trafficker has been busted following an investigation that came from a fatal 2021 drug overdose.
In 2021, Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) officers responded to a fatal drug overdose. As a result of that investigation one of several traffickers were identified on the decedent’s phone.
On Wednesday, April 6th, investigators from the HRPS – 3 District Street Crime Unit arrested one of the identified traffickers, 20-year-old Trayvon Spencer of Stoney Creek. He has been charged with:
- Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
A search warrant was subsequently executed at an address in Hamilton where the following items were seized:
- 26 grams of cocaine
- Approximately $30,000 in Canadian currency
- 6 cellular phones
- 1 digital scale
Spencer was released on an Undertaking.
