The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, March 14th and Monday, March 21st, there were at least 21 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A pair of assault cases on Martin Street on Monday, March 14th;
- a pair of theft case on Steeles Avenue on Monday, March 14th;
- a theft case at Brigden Gate on Monday, March 14th;
- a theft case on Cleve Court on Tuesday, March 15th;
- a robbery case on Maple Avenue on Tuesday, March 15th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Derry Road on Tuesday, March 15th;
- an assault case on Bennett Boulevard on Tuesday, March 15th;
- a property crime case on Leger Way on Tuesday, March 15th;
- a property crime case on High Point Drive on Tuesday, March 15th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Cleve Court on Wednesday, March 16th;
- a breaking and entering case on Maple Avenue on Thursday, March 17th;
- an assault case on Main Street East on Thursday, March 17th;
- a theft from vehicle case at Crawford Crescent and Reid Sideroad on Thursday, March 17th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Friday, March 18th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Main Street East on Friday, March 18th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Lawson Road on Friday, March 18th;
- an assault case on Santa Maria Boulevard on Friday, March 18th;
- a property crime case at Thompson Road North and Woodward Avenue on Saturday, March 19th; and,
- a property crime case on Robert Street on Saturday, March 19th.
Of the 21 cases of crime, nine were theft cases of some kind, six were assault cases, four were property crimes cases, one was a breaking and entering cases, and one was a robbery case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
