The Milton Menace continued their long stretch of road games on Thursday and came away with a win.
They made the long drive to Leamington to battle the Flyers this week at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre.
It was a long scoreless first period between the two teams before Cam Lang found the back of the net while shorthanded. That gave Milton the 1-0 lead heading into intermission.
In the second period, Don William Bristol kept his hot start to the year rolling, making it 2-0 Menace. They kept the lead heading into the final frame.
Bristol added a second goal in the third period. Leamington would get one back before Chris Soares put the game away with an empty netter. Milton beat Leamington 4-1.
Our resident ironman was back in net for the Menace. Austin McKillop stopped 38 of 39 shots, getting the .974% save percentage and the win.
Next up for the Menace is their final road game of this long stretch. They’ll battle the St. Michael’s Buzzers on Sunday, November 1st. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
