The Innisfil Indian Association is inviting residents to celebrate Diwali with an evening of cultural performances, Indian cuisine, fashion, music, and fireworks.
A highlight of this year’s festivities will be the IIA Diwali Fashion Show, featuring children, teens and adults showcasing traditional, contemporary and Indo-Western styles. Teen and adult participants will compete for the IIA Diwali Style Icon titles, recognizing confidence, creativity and personal style.
Guests can also enjoy authentic Indian cuisine prepared by Amaya, a Barrie restaurant, followed by music and dancing on a DJ-led dance floor.
The event will also feature the Innisfil Indian Association’s annual food drive in support of the Innisfil Food Bank. Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to help local families in need.
‘Diwali Utsav 2026 – Celebrating the Festival of Lights’ takes place Saturday, October 24th, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Churchill Community Centre, located at 6322 Yonge Street in Churchill. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
Tickets are available through Eventbrite. For more information or to purchase tickets, click here.
