Milton Menace fans cheer the team on during 2019-2020 season
The Milton Menace continue to pile on the wins this season.
On Tuesday, October 13th, the team travelled to North York to take on the Rangers for an afternoon game.
It was the Rangers who jumped out to an early lead, scoring in the first couple of minutes. Milton would get on the board nearly ten minutes of playing time later. 16-year-old Shayden Hintenberger scored his first career OJHL goal to tie things up. That would be quickly followed by Don William Bristol giving the Menace the lead, and then Cam Lang scoring on a penalty shot to make it 3-1 Milton heading into the first intermission.
In the second period, Dallys Hibbert continued the offensive onslaught for the Menace. Milton would get another first for one of their players, as Jacob ‘Jack’ Norman would find twine for his own first OJHL goal. The Rangers would get one back to make it 5-2 after 40 minutes of action.
Josh Currie then scored in the final frame to make it a 6-2 win for the Menace.
For the 14th straight game, the Menace called on Austin McKillop to play between the pipes. He stopped 21 of 23 shots, giving him the .913% save percentage and the victory.
Milton now sits at 12-2-0-0 through 14 games played this regular season. They’re 2nd in the West Conference, and 3rd across the entire OJHL. In the latest CJHL Top 20 Ranking, the Menace are 8th overall in Canada.
Next up is a home game against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 16th at the Milton Memorial Arena.
They will then travel to Mississauga to take on the Chargers on Saturday, October 17th. That one is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Port Credit Memorial Arena.
