The Milton Menace had a busy night on Friday, October 9th.
They welcomed in the Caledon Admirals for their first home game since the 2026 Governors’ Showcase in Niagara Falls.
It was nearly a scoreless first period between the two teams before Nathan Catalano found the back of the net with five seconds remaining. That made it 1-0 after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, Jason Zhou would score on the man advantage to add to the lead. He would also score again later in the frame, along with a powerplay goal from Cam Lang. The Menace led 4-0 heading into the final period.
Chris Soares would make it a five goal game in the third, with Caledon eventually tacking on two goals of their own. It obviously wasn’t enough, as the Menace won the game 5-2.
Despite the win, Austin McKillop had a busy night in net. He stopped 38 of 40 shots for the flat .950% save percentage and the victory.
Milton’s offence was putting pressure on the Admirals all night, totaling 51 shots on goal.
The Admirals had a hard time staying out of the penalty box, handing the Menace 11 total powerplays. There were also a handful of major penalties dished out in the third period as things got a little out of hand.
After the Thanksgiving long weekend off, the Menace are right back on the ice. They visit the North York Rangers on Tuesday, October 13th. It’s an early one, with game time at the Herb Carnegie Centennial Centre set for 2:30 p.m.
The Menace return home on Friday, October 16th to host the Buffalo Jr. Sabres at the Milton Memorial Arena.
