Milton Public Library's Beaty branch (2021)
The Milton Public Library (MPL) will host a closing ceremony and celebration for its Medicine Learning Garden as the summer season comes to an end.
This event will offer an opportunity for reflection and gratitude while highlighting Indigenous teachings, stories, and knowledge. Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers will share teachings and stories as attendees honour the garden’s growth and harvest.
It will also recognize the volunteers, staff and gardener who helped care for the Medicine Learning Garden throughout the summer.
“Gathering at the Garden” takes place Saturday, October 3rd, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Beaty Branch.
