The Milton Menace had an up-and-down weekend.
They welcomed in the Burlington Cougars to the Milton Memorial Arena on Friday, September 25th.
It was the Cougars who opened the scoring, netting the first goal of the game just six minutes into the opening period. Milton would tie it up shortly after, with Don William Bristol potting his 5th of the year, assisted by Quinlan Clair and Nathan Catalano. Burlington would answer right back, scoring twice before the end of the period, making it 3-1 Cougars after 20 minutes.
The Cougars would score two more times in the second and third periods, giving Burlington the 5-1 win.
Austin McKillop was back in net for Milton, stopping 31 of 35 shots. That gave him the .885% save percentage in the losing effort.
Next up was a road game against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres on Sunday, September 27th.
This was a good bounce back game for the Menace, as they started off strong in the first period.
They’d get two goals from Chris Soares, and a third from Nathan Catalano to make it a 3-0 game after 20 minutes of icetime.
Dean Deligeorgis would add to the lead in the second period, and Cameron Lang would get one in the third. Buffalo would find twine late in the game, but the lead was big enough to cruise into a 5-1 win for Milton.
After the loss on Friday, Milton went back to Austin McKillop on Sunday. He 27 of 28 shots for the .964% save percentage and his seventh win of the season.
The Menace are now preparing for a return home on Friday, October 2nd against the Oakville Blades. Game time at the Milton Memorial Arena is set for 7:30 p.m.
