A Milton cab driver is celebrating a $50,000 lottery win after his DAILY KENO 10 PICK ticket matched the winning numbers in an August evening draw.
Tarique S. has been a regular OLG lottery player since coming to Canada in 2019. The 57-year-old says this marks his first major lottery win.
“I was at the store picking up groceries when I decided to check my tickets,” Tarique said while collecting his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “At first, I thought I won $50 and remained calm. When I put my glasses on and checked again, I realized I had actually won $50,000! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I was completely shocked and thrilled.”
He plans to use his winnings to pay some bills and invest.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Derry Road West in Milton.
