The 26th annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament for United Way has raised more than $171,200 to support local programs and services across Milton.
It brought together 250 golfers, along with local businesses, community leaders and volunteers, for the fundraiser.
Funds raised through the tournament will support 49 United Way-supported programs in Milton. Those programs help local residents access food, mental health supports, housing assistance, services for children and youth, programs for seniors and other essential community services.
United Way says more than 28,500 people in Milton received assistance through its supported programs last year.
“Milton has always been a community that shows up for one another, and this tournament is a great example of that,” says Brad Park, President & CEO of United Way Golden Horseshoe. “The funds raised here stay local and help strengthen the programs and services that thousands of Milton residents rely on every year. I also want to thank Mayor Krantz for his continued leadership and commitment to this tournament. His support has helped make it an important community tradition and a meaningful source of local impact.”
United Way Golden Horseshoe works with local agencies, donors, volunteers, businesses and community partners to strengthen programs and services across Brant, Haldimand-Norfolk, Halton, Hamilton and Niagara.
The organization says funds raised locally stay local, helping communities access support while building greater stability for the future.
