The driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision in Burlington has been arrested by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).
On Tuesday, September 1st, 61-year-old William McArthur of Hamilton was arrested in Oakville. He has been charged with:
- Failure to Stop at Accident involving Death
He was released from custody pending a court appearance in November.

A fatal hit and run collision in Burlington is being investigated by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).
On Thursday, August 27th, at around 3:45 p.m., police were called to the area of Maple Avenue and Richmond Road in Burlington. A woman was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle was last seen travelling northbound on Maple Avenue. The car is described by the HRPS as a dark coloured sedan. It’s expected to have damage to the front.
