Steam-Era is returning over Labour Day weekend.
The Ontario Steam and Antique Preservers Association’s annual show will feature privately owned collections of restored antique equipment, including steam traction engines, gas engines, antique tractors, cars, trucks and construction equipment. Visitors can also watch demonstrations involving antique sawmills, threshing machines and plowing, along with daily equipment parades.
Tractor pulls will take place throughout the weekend, including truck and tractor pulls Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and lawn and garden tractor pulls Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. A spark show is also scheduled for dusk, weather permitting.
The event will include food, craft and other vendors, entertainment, military equipment displays and the popular “Learn to Drive” antique tractor activity. Toronto Live Steamers will also offer rides.
Steam-Era is running Friday, September 4th to Monday, September 7th. General admission at the gate is $15, while children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
