The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) needs your help following a shooting in Georgetown.
On Tuesday, August 4th, at about 4:00 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the area of 8th Line and 5 Side Road following a report of shots being fired.
An investigation determined multiple shots were fired at the residence and vehicles in the driveway. The home was occupied at the time of the shooting; however, no physical injuries were reported.
Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no known threat to public safety.

A vehicle was seen fleeing the area at the time of the shooting and investigators are asking anyone with information on this investigation, or anyone who may have security or dash cam video from the area of 8th line, 10 and 5 Side Roads, between the hours of 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4th to contact the 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2416.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says Eighth Line between No.5 and No.10 Side Roads in Georgetown is closed to all traffic.
Officers are investigating criminal activity in the area. They are actively working the scene and local residents and passing motorists are advised to stay away from the area.
There is no threat to the public.
This section of roadway will likely be closed for multiple hours.
