A Georgetown man is facing multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from Dufferin OPP during a traffic stop on a motorcycle.
Police say the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 16th near County Road 11 and Broadway in Orangeville. Officers attempted to stop a group of three motorcycles in East Garafraxa. While two riders pulled over, the third allegedly fled at an estimated speed of about 200 km/h.
Investigators say the same motorcycle later returned to the area and again passed the traffic stop at a very high rate of speed before leaving.
Police identified the rider, who turned himself in on Tuesday, July 21st. The 23-year-old Georgetown man is now facing numerous charges.
