Milton Transit riders will see several service changes take effect at the end of the month, as the town moves into its summer operating schedule.
Starting Sunday, June 28th, Routes 1, 2, and 3 will run every 30 to 35 minutes from noon until the end of service each day. The Town says riders should review updated schedules before travelling, as minor timing adjustments will also be introduced.
The summer schedule also means the suspension of School Extra service while secondary schools are closed. Beginning Monday, June 29th, extra service on Routes 3, 50, 51, 52, 53, 53A, and 54 will be paused for the summer break. The service is scheduled to return when the next school year begins on Tuesday, September 8th when students head back to school.
Transit users should also note that Milton Transit will not operate on three upcoming statutory holidays. There will be no service on Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1st, the Civic Holiday on Monday, August 3rd, or Labour Day on Monday, September 7th.
The Town is encouraging riders to check updated route schedules and service information before travelling throughout the summer months.
