A Georgetown resident is celebrating a $50,000 lottery win after claiming a top prize with OLG’s Instant Cash Wheel game.
50-year-old Blaine M. says he’s been playing OLG lottery games for more than 30 years and was shocked when he discovered the winning ticket at home.
According to the winner, he scanned the ticket multiple times to make sure the result was correct. His wife was beside him when he checked the ticket and the pair celebrated after realizing they had won the game’s top prize.
Blaine said the win feels surreal and described himself as grateful, noting that he had always dreamed of a big lottery win but never expected it to happen.
The Georgetown resident plans to use the money to pay bills and take a trip to Italy with his wife.
The winning ticket was purchased at a Longo’s grocery store on Dufay Road in Brampton.
