A North York man is facing numerous charges after OPP received multiple complaints about a vehicle being driven dangerously on the QEW in Burlington.
Officers were called at about 5:41 p.m. on Saturday, May 23rd after receiving reports about the vehicle’s driving behaviour on the Toronto-bound QEW as it entered Burlington. Police say the vehicle was also involved in a minor collision and left the scene.
Officers located the vehicle and arrested the driver.
The 43-year-old male G1 driver has been charged with:
- Impaired Operation
- Dangerous Operation
- Failure or Refusal to Comply with a Demand
- Operation While Prohibited
- Drive Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available
- Fail to Remain
- Drive Motor Vehicle Not Equipped with an Ignition Interlock Device
- Class G1 Licence Holder Driving on a Prohibited Highway
- Class G1 Licence Holder Unaccompanied by a Qualified Driver
G1 drivers are prohibited from driving without a qualified accompanying driver.
