Downtown Milton will come alive with music, food, vendors, and family activities as SummerFest returns next month.
The free event will feature live entertainment throughout the day, including performances on the BMO Main Stage, the SummerFest Community Stage, and the House of Chords Performance Area. Organizers say the evening will wrap up with a headline performance by Fiddlestix at 7:00 p.m.
Visitors can also browse more than 100 vendors offering handmade jewelry, artisan crafts, vintage items, outdoor apparel, and other goods. Local restaurants will offer patio dining and meal specials, while additional food options will be available in the festival’s Food Truck Zone. A licensed beer tent hosted by Orange Snail Brewers will also be available for guests 19 and older.
Families can enjoy the Kids’ Fun Zone, supported by Mattamy Homes, featuring inflatables, Lego and Duplo stations, and a climbing wall.
Event proceeds will support the Halton Learning Foundation, a charity focused on education equity for local students.
To help residents get to and from the event, all Milton Transit services will be free from noon until 8:30 p.m., sponsored by MTB Transit Solutions. Free service includes fixed-route buses, OnDemand transit, and Milton Access+ specialized services.
Several downtown road closures will also be in effect for the festival. Main Street East will be closed between Brown Street and Fulton Street from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. Additional closures include sections of James Street, Martin Street, Charles Street, Commercial Street, and Municipal Parking Lot #1.
SummerFest takes place Saturday, June 6th from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Main Street East in downtown Milton. It’s hosted by the Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area (DBIA) in partnership with the Town of Milton and presented by BMO Financial Group.
