Drivers in Milton can expect lane closures on Ontario Street this week as rehabilitation work continues between Main Street East and Laurier Avenue.
The Town says construction is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, May 27th to Friday, May 29th and will include storm sewer rehabilitation, curb and sidewalk replacement, concrete road base repairs, and asphalt paving.
While no full road closures are planned during this phase of the project, localized lane closures and some nighttime work at intersections will be required. Southbound and northbound lanes will close in stages to allow paving operations to be completed safely.
Officials say access to Ontario Street from nearby side streets, businesses, and residential properties may be temporarily affected during the work. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and expect delays in the area.
