Sustainable Milton is inviting residents to help celebrate World Environment Day with a community tree and seed planting event next month.
The event runs from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. along Indian Creek Trail on Friday, June 5th, across from the Sherwood Community Centre at 6355 Main Street West. Volunteers will help plant trees, shrubs, and native perennials as part of local environmental restoration efforts.
Organizers say the event is one of Sustainable Milton’s most popular community initiatives and is designed as a family-friendly activity. Student volunteer hours will also be available for participants.
Registration is required. New volunteers who have not participated with Sustainable Milton this year are also asked to complete volunteer waivers and permission forms.
