Four suspects are wanted following an armed home invasion last week.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says the break-in happened around 2:40 a.m. on Friday, May 15th, at a home near Lakeshore Road and Belvenia Road.
Investigators allege one suspect used a hammer to smash the glass in a door to gain entry to the residence. An adult female occupant woke to the sound of breaking glass and was confronted by the suspects inside the home.
One of the suspects was allegedly armed with a handgun and pointed it at the victim while the others searched the home for valuables. Cash, jewelry and other items were stolen before the group fled the area.
The suspects are described by police as four males wearing hooded sweaters and face coverings. The victim was not physically injured during the incident.
Investigators are appealing to the public for any video footage (dashcam or surveillance) from the area of Lakeshore Road and Belvenia Road between 2:20 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.
