An Acton resident is facing several charges following an intimate partner violence investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police.
Police say officers with the Wellington County OPP responded to a reported intimate partner violence incident in Erin on Tuesday, May 12th, at about 2:15 p.m.
Following the investigation, a 41-year-old from Acton was charged with extortion, criminal harassment and harassing communications under the Criminal Code.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a Guelph court at a later date.
Police have not released the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the victim.
