Residents and visitors are being invited to celebrate the start of summer at the annual Downtown Milton SummerFest next month in Milton.
Hosted by the Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area, with support from the Town of Milton and presented by BMO, the event will take place Saturday, June 6th from noon until 8:00 p.m. in the downtown core.
Organizers say the festival will continue to feature local businesses and vendors, live entertainment, family activities and a wide variety of food and shopping options. Visitors can expect international street food, artisan vendors, handmade crafts, clothing, sweet treats and refreshments throughout the day.
Live performances are also planned across several stages, including the BMO Main Stage, Community Stage and House of Chords Performance Area. The entertainment lineup will include local bands, acoustic acts, Celtic fiddle music, Indo-fusion performances and R&B artists.
Several downtown roads will be closed during the event, including sections of Main Street East, James Street, Martin Street, Charles Street and Commercial Street. Municipal parking lot No. 1 at Brown Street and Main Street will also be closed for the festival.
