The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has charged a Mississauga man with voyeurism following two alleged incidents inside a fitting room at an Winners store in Oakville
Police say officers first responded to the retail store in early April after receiving a report that a man had allegedly used a cellphone to record an adult woman while she was changing inside a fitting room.
Investigators later linked the suspect to a second, similar incident involving another adult woman at the same store in November 2024.
On Saturday, May 16th, investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in Mississauga where the suspect was arrested. Officers seized several items believed to have evidentiary value, including cellphones and a laptop computer.
As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old Dishanth Srideva of Mississauga has been charged with two counts of voyeurism. He was later released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in Milton at a future date.
Police say investigators are concerned there could be additional victims. Anyone who may have been victimized by the accused, or anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216.
