Conservation Halton is inviting visitors to explore Indigenous knowledge and traditional craftsmanship during a special event at Crawford Lake Conservation Area later this month.
From Land to Tool with Stephen Paquette will take place on Sunday, May 31st from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. inside the park’s Longhouse Village. The drop-in session will feature Stephen Paquette of the Wikwemikong First Nation sharing stories and teachings about how traditional tools are created using natural materials gathered from the land.
It’s designed as an interactive learning experience where visitors can stop by, listen and engage with the teachings throughout the session.
The program is included with regular park admission or Conservation Halton membership.
Reservations can be made here.
